Act One is Cardiff’s biggest drama society, and has been for over ten years! This year we have seven main productions, for which auditions will be held at the start of term. If you enjoy acting, dancing, singing, socialising, or you are interested in crewing – helping backstage with costumes, make-up, set design, publicity, stage management, sound or lighting, then we are the society for you!

Our main productions this year are;

Robin in the Hood (a pantomime)
– directed by Katy Carden and Cat Lenain

Julius Caesar
– directed by Ben Atterbury

Heart of a Dog
– directed by Aleks Ford

A Streetcar Named Desire
– directed by Rob Thomas

Clue
– directed by Lottie Davies

Harrowdown Hill
– directed by Loz Dixon

Spring Awakening
– directed by Glen Jordan

We will have a variety of socials throughout the year with imaginative themes and which are always great fun, including our annual Act One Ball at the end of the year! We will also have numerous events, including short-term productions and open mic nights, so if you're a fresher and want to direct or you dont get cast in a main production there are still lots of opportunities to get involved in Act One throughout the year.
