Expression Dance Society!

£25 membership per year, with no weekly class fees, access to fitness and flexibility classes for the year and a discount on the society t-shirt!

We give you 1-2 weeks to attend our classes on a trail basis to see what we're all about before you need to pay any membership

“Expression” is a society for everyone anyone and loves to dance! Our style is difficult to describe; we take inspiration from all areas, and constantly try to devolop our range of dance experience. I guess we could be called contemporary, modern or free-style, but you'll have to judge for yourself!

In our establishing year, classes involved simply learning dances, but this year we hope to hold non-complusary classes devoted to building upon technique and strength, and workshops with teachers of various dance genres including bellydancing.

We are a very open and friendly society and aim to make everyone to feel as involved as they want to. So, if anyone has any warm-up ideas, wants to teach a dance, etc, you can can just ask! We are hoping to arrange some trips to see some performances or be involved in dance events such as Move It! and take classes at Pinapple Studios. On top of all this, our performances within Cardiff are hoping to become a lot more advertised, creative and we'd love to collaborate with other dance societies within the University!

Essentially, we're a group of people who are enthused and passionate about dance, and hold no preconceptions about what members of our team should have in regards to dance abilty. All are welcome!! There is a place for everyone here, so don't be afraid to come down and check us out!
