The Cardiff University Film Society has 2 branches for you to get involved with.

The core of the society is our weekly film screening which takes place in our favourite venues. We try to show a real variety of films and at the end of the month it’s MEMBER’S CHOICE FILM NIGHT where you guys can suggest films and vote on what you want to see.

Our Film Soc socials are famous for being infamous. Dead certs in our calendar include the beginning of the year ‘Off the CUFS’ film quiz, the London Film Festival Trip, the Halloween fancy dress social, the Christmas Social, the DiffFilms Annual Showcase and the Cardiff Student Media Awards.

DiffFilms is our very own production branch which is going from strength to strength. We want to help your creativity achieve its potential whether you want to make a film to just amuse you and your friends or if you’re aiming at submitting to film festivals. We offer small group, hands-on training on how to plan, film and edit a film using our equipment as well as getting experts in to do workshops on screenwriting and cinematography.

In a nutshell, we’re a super friendly society that loves to get involved in all things film and have a laugh while we’re at it. And all of that for just £5 membership for the year!
