Cardiff University Healthcare basketball is a mixed basketball team in terms of gender, healthcare course & ability. All levels of experience and skill are welcome, mixing a fun, enjoyable atmosphere with a competitive edge; with the ultimate aim to improve understanding and skills, build fitness and to be in it for the fun of the game.

We have been a club for many years now, recently branching out from medics basketball to healthcare basketball, welcoming students from across the healthcare courses. Offering training on saturdays to cater for the busy schedule of healthcare courses. Previously we have been successful in NAMS tournaments and we want to bring that success back in the upcoming years. 

Competitions
We enter a mixed team into the annual National Association of Medic Sports inter-uni basketball tournament. We play regular friendlies against local teams and other universities between NAMS tournaments. Our girls also play intra-uni exhibition games, whilst the boys are kept busy by the odd grudge match against the local qualified Doctors' team.

Socials
We know the healthcare timetable is a hard one to juggle so we work the best we can to keep up with this and make sure that the day trips or nights out are something to remember. For some of us thats not possible the next morning, for others its great to talk it up to those who don't!
