People & Planet is the largest, student network in Britain campaigning to end world poverty, defend human rights and protect the environment.

This year focusses on 3 main campaigns

- The Green Declaration - getting our university to commit to green targets

- Green houses - helping students to be more energy efficient in their houses.

- Unconventional fuels - raising awareness of the destruction that the oil companys have caused and are continuing to in North Canada, causind runaway climate change, and the same for Fracking.

Some of the events we go to include: 

• Shared Planet - bringing hundreds of students together for a weekend packed with big-name speakers, skills and issues workshops, debates, discussions, art, and a massive party!
• The Forum - Our main democratic event where we discuss, debate and decide on P&P's future campaigns and direction.
• Summer Gathering - is a week-long training event that is intense yet chilled-out at the same time!
• There is also the opportunity to steward at summer festivals including Glastonbury, Reading/Leeds, and Latitude plus many more!
